Frequently Asked Questions

Can we can install intrusion and fire alarm systems in an existing building or service the alarm you now own?

Yes, we can install a new system. We can also check out and maintain the alarm you currently own.

How can I eliminate false alarms?lightning can affect your system

  • During spring and fall, spiders, moths and other critters are more active. They can and do cause false fire and burglar alarms - so keep them clear of alarm equipment.
  • When you are away, be sure your caretaker, housekeeper, gardener and neighbor are thoroughly instructed on the use of the alarm. On most systems, you can add an entry/exit code just for them thus keeping your code just for you.

Why should I not talk to telemarketers?

What sounds like a telemarketer could actually be a burglar seeking information on his or her next victim.

Have your phones been serviced?

  • Always test your system after your telephone system is serviced.
  • On some systems, phone technicians can accidentally disable your central station communications.
  • Other good times to test include after a severe lightning storm, before going on an extended vacation and after installing a new internet connection including DSL.

How do I verify and update my call list and passcodes?

  • To notify us of any changes in your emergency contact list call the Central Station at (877) 526-3938. Inform the operator that you would like to verify (or update) your call list and password.
  • Be prepared to provide them with your central station account number and current password. Armed with this information (pardon the pun), the operators will provide you with the information you need and will update any changes immediately.
